W works from mon to sat, clocking 10-12hours daily. The up side of it is that I get lotsa free to myself.
The down side of it is that I get too much time to myself.
That I end up doing most of the things that we Wana do i.e the whole wedding prep and Balimoon trip, and now that is over, the property hunting, the day-to-day things we Wana do/buy, and now Korea trip.
To put it nicely (in his words), it's cos I'm meticulous and have got good taste. To put it not-so nicely (in my words), TAIJI! (and he has the cheek to laugh. Faint.)

Basic courtesy
I think it's basic courtesy to ask before u take other ppl's things. My mum been bringing me lotsa things ever since I've gotten married. I'll normally just leave it in the kitchen but it usually disappears before I have a chance to taste even one of it. Been feeling a lil peeved abt it.
Then Sunday my maternal grandma asked my mum to drive to my place to pass me some dried persimmons. One whole bag of it. When I returned home on Monday, there's only 3 left. Turns out my MIL passed to her sister without even knowing who it belongs to.
Rude. Want can ask. Dun take without asking. N this is not the 1st time.
Can't wait to move out.

TL role
The biggest difference being a Team Lead vs being a team staff is that you are suddenly upgraded to being a mother.
Yes a mother. You gotta be firm at times, gentle at others, find ways to tell ppl things they dun like, n generally be responsible for them. No matter which way they turn out.
Just had a talk with a staff. Let's call her JC. She requested to talk to me today, is feeling pretty lost. She is contemplating whether she shld stay or go. N I realized that at the end of the day, she does not know what she wants. So screw the traditional things a TL is supposed to do i.e. retain ppl. After all this is her future.
So shared with her my observations of her n heard from her what she like n loath. But ultimately decision still upon her.
Another staff. JK. This is tougher for me for she 吃软不吃硬. Yet when u go soft on her, she pays lip service most of the time. Firm with her n she gets unhappy again. Typical gen X. What can I do?

Clearing a lil rubbish each day
To prep for the day when I leave. So I dun have so much things to pack.

It's been pretty long since I've last updated this space. Basically life has been good. Almost.
We've stopped with the property hunting previously due to the high price n the crazy wedding prep. It's been 3mths since the wedding n things have pretty much settled down. And so the hunting resumes.
Went for 7viewings today. A lil crazy, I know. But it gets me so hyped up that I can't really get to slp now.
The most memorable that stuck was this 3bdrm. White marble floor, open concept kitchen, nice layout n minimal renovation required.
The 2nd was this 22nd flr unit. Equally spacious n price is considered cheap. However, the fact it's selling for a much cheaper than another unit on a much lower ground makes us a lil cautious. So my bro, also my agent, has been tasked to find out anything wrong with the unit. Cheap as it might be, it doesn't allow me to have a connecting walkin wardrobe. That's a super major drawback for me.
Which brings me back to the 1st unit. There's a same unit with the same facing 2 levels up. So if nbr 1 gets sold, there's still this nbr 3.
The rest, not really worth mentioning.
So short listed 3, n onward with more viewings next week.

Nostalgia
On my way to final fitting. And since I'm meeting W at the studio direct, I made my own way there.
Took the feeder bus n with it came so many memories. The bus route that took me past my sec sch, then pri sch, n old home. Same yet diff. A lil happy, a lil sad as all the memories come back.
