Happy sat

After the pretty nail session, met my mum n bro for some furniture window shopping.
I love this hefele ironing board concept that can be kept in a drawer. I'm abit obsessed over ironing. I love to iron in fact n W made me promise notta iron his jeans. Haahhahahah how funny it is to wear starched jeans. Anyway I love this n I'll see how I can incorporate the built in ironing board to the walk in wardrobe. How convenient it will be then. I can imagine an air-conditioned walk in wardrobe with all my clothes lining up to be ironed. Music playing in the background n me humming tuneless-ly away. Bliss out!




Anyway chanced upon this art gallery where pieces of art go from SGD2k to SGD60k. Dwang!! 60k! Ok I will aspire to be an artist.




Dinner with hubb at Thai express. It's a place where we always go, always look at the same menu, and end up ordering the same thing. Every. Single. Time. I dun even know why we bother to flip through the menu. Hahah. Okay, our usuals. Love the plum soda.




So we were supposed to watch Sherlock Holmes tv series and someone fell aslp while I was bathing. Settling in for a good read. I'm a bookworm. I love reading. Blogs, magazines, fiction. U name it. My fav author gotta be John Grisham. Read every book of his n love the way he crafts the plot. And I have to resist the temptation to cheat halfway and read the last chapter in every book. Bought Stieg Larsson trilogy n gonna start with "the girl with the dragon tattoo". Nitez!

Yay!!

I din Wana jinx it, so I've been keeping mum abt it. Yes!!!! We've got our own place!!!! *fireworks* *pop champagne* *party poppers* *confetti* *celebrates*
We went for our 3rd viewing and we finally agreed on a price with the owner!! And we have since exercised our option to purchase the unit, and now awaiting for our 1st appt to submit the documents!! Oh my! No words can describe how happy I am!!!

Anticipation

I'm like this. When I get too excited or fixated on an idea, I get insomnia. It's hard for me to separate ideas in my brain from sleep, no matter how tired I am.
Went for 6 viewings today. Yup, I know. Most will say overload. But I've only got one day a week to view and I just gotta maximize it. Saw a unit today that's exactly the same layout of what I saw (and missed) last week.
Gonna view a 2nd time tmr with my family and if everything is in order, we r gonna go for it. The only thing now pending is the cov. Owner's asking for $65k, n in my opinion totally reasonable as the house is in real good condition n exactly how we would have done it up. In my agent's words, "bring a toothbrush n just move in". But of cos gotta try to push the cov downwards. Cross fingers n pray real hard.
Gonna try sleep n stop mentally decorating the house. Nights!

Disappointed yet again

Saw a unit yesterday n arranged for viewing today. However owner is unable to make it n originally scheduled it for wed instead. Today the buyer agent tried to reach me to inform of someone having made an offer and whether I'm interested to bid. As I was busy with work, by the time I checked my phone, it was too late. Sold. For 2k below what we had wanted to offer. Sigh. Disappointed yet again. Why is it so diff to locate that dream house?

Property hunting

Been really busy (excuse for lazy) recently. My bro's a property agent but he's very busy (genuinely making a living) nowadays. So I took it upon myself to property hunt. So other than work hours, I've been spending all my travelling time and sacrificing sleep time to lookup. Very very very busy (really tedious and double hard work for someone who know nuts abt property) researching.
Went for a viewing last Sunday. A maisonette. 157sqm. Huge and spacious and well renovated. Move in condition with minimal touchup. Located within 10min waking distance of train station. Established estate with more than 10coffeeshops, wet market, 2 supermarkets within 5min waking distance. Corner unit. High floor. Unblocked. Greenery view. 3bedroom+1study. Valuation 620k. PERFECT RIGHT?! Cov asking for min 100k!!!!!!!!!!!!! Faint! With 100k, I can easily afford a condo. The last offer was 80k and the owner turned it down. Sigh! Major disappointment!
