Made up my mind
Okay I've made up my mind to ignore everything the MIL does.
Yes it's upsetting to have her insist things her way, indecisive n keeps harping over the same issues, and buying a similar gown as mine.
But I will ignore her. I made up my mind. It's W n my big day. Why should I care abt things I can't control? Rather I will ignore her n her antics n carry on with things that I wanna do. Anything she tells me n I dun wanna know too much, I'll play dumb. Anything she command us to do, I'll just do the bare minimal. Anything unreasonable, I'll leave W to deal with her.
So now countdown to big day and after that, to getting our own place!

Secretly loving the me day. Staying at home the whole day lazing away. Doing the corsages for the gals. Maybe I should change my profession n go into something I always like - DIY.
Then rewarding myself with a yummylicious chilli crab dinner.
Today S told me she's pregnant! Omg! So happy for her. Originally I had asked her to be my emcee but she should be heavily pregnant by then. So will get someone else. Nonetheless, feeling happy for her! Whee!

Inconsiderate
Today has gotta be the most ridiculous day in my life.
First someone borrowed my office desk yesterday (I was on leave) n made a total mess out of it. So 1st thing that greeted me in office was my pissed-me-off mess on my table n I had to clear up after him.
Then an escalated call over a stupid customer with a stupid issue.
Then someone changed lunch slot with me n disrupted all my lunch plans, only to have a looooong lunch herself.
Then non stop ppl asking me non stop questions. When I say I feel like an encyopedia, trust me. I have ppl literally queuing up to ask me questions.
Ok finally day is over n the hungry n tired me travelled all the way to W's office to meet him. Only for him to announce that he has to do some last minute mass shopping for his office for 7th month offerings. N when I say mass shopping, it's really mass shopping. We actually filled 3 huge shopping carts n bought $800+ worth of grocery from 9-11pm. No dinner yet. N we jammed up the cashier queue for half an hour.
Then my MIL announced that she bought her gown to attend our wedding dinner. She said n i quote, "it looks like yours. Similar blue with similar black lace. Looks like yours lor". My blood pressure went up immediately. It's my wedding. I'm the bride n I get someone who copycats my gown!!!!!!!!!
Then finally dinner, or rather supper at 11.30pm. W described our national day date n her question was "why din u bring me along?". Which part of date do you NOT understand?!?!
N I come home to find the toothpaste my bro n I were sharing gone!! Simply cos he brought it along with him on his trip.
N to top everything off, I'm having this super bad menstrual cramp now.
Ok, I'm irritated beyond words. I'm gonna sleep!

Guestlist
As I was going through my guest list n doing RSVP earlier, it struck me that a wedding can really show how many true friends one has. As I was sending SMSes out, I have friends who offer help. Some Wana be my emcee, some offer to help me do a Blair witch project taking videos during the day. Many agreed to attend readily.
Then it reminds me of 2 "friends" who had their wedding not too long ago. Bride X had invited E n me to be her bridesmaids. Problem is we were not even remotely close to her. We see her once a year through gatherings organized by mutual friends. Heck, she doesn't even have our mobile nbrs n resorted to emailing us through previous gatherings' email threads. Of cos E n I din agree. We thought her 2 "closer friends" will be her bridesmaids n ended up, they weren't. N we learnt through mutual friends that they were similarly been asked to be bridesmaid in the most insincere manner n they, too, rejected.
Bride D had her wedding recently too. Now this gal used to be real close to me. When she was single, that is. Ever since she has a bf, she has long disappeared. N when she broke up with that guy, she came crying back. And the moment she gets a new bf (her current husband), she disappears again for a few years. We work around the same area n see each other quite often. But she always pretends not to see me. I found out by chance she has recently joined my company. But have never heard it from her. Not even a hi SMS/email. Needless to say, when she invited me to her wedding, I declined. N seems like many others declined her cos she posted a low EQ post on fb to lament many ppl gave her lame reasons.
Hahaha. Real funny.

National day
Had an awesome day! This year we decided to do something different other than staying at home n watching national day parade from the tv. Since tickets are so hard to get, we joined my company's event. $55 n we get to have a buffet dinner at flyer's Greek theater, n to the flyer rooftop to view the fireworks. Pretty view indeed!

Work
I've been thinking for the longest time. When u lose the motivation to go to work, what do u do?
N I'm not even going into the whole burning-passion-for-work thing cos face it, how many of us have the courage to pursue our passion or even know what we want?
Everytime I think of quitting, a lot of other considerations come into place. Monthly bills, getting out of comfort zone. Then the urge to quit diminish. Then come another lousy day at work n the urge is back. Emotional yo-yo.
